www.RacingVintageCars.com is a destination website that presents, portrays and chronicles the cars, events, stories, techniques, technologies and personalities of vintage auto racing — yesterday and today — expressly for drivers, car preparers, engine builders, fabricators, track workers, photographers, videographers and passionate lovers of automobile racing in all of its eras.
Our mission is to inform and excite participants and enthusiasts of all ages about the thrill of timeless racecars and the sport of vintage auto racing.
MEET OUR STAFF
Jake Grubb – Publisher, Photojournalist, Editor: lifelong motor racing enthusiast and participant, is a multi-decade author/photographer and producer of books, online & print publications, commercial communications projects for corporate clients and web/digital properties. He is a multi-year vintage racer.
Norm Vitale – Art Director: three-plus decade art director for print + online publications and advertising agencies, is a versatile outdoorsman and automotive enthusiast. He is a specialist in the new-world blending of design mastery in the often complementary and sometimes competing expertises of print mediums and all things web/digital.
Gil Murrieta – Senior Photographer: dedicated automotive and travel photographer. With specialization in vintage racing for over twenty years, he has focused on exploring and capturing the visual treasures of this wonderful living time capsule of motor sport. Whether it’s track action, paddock excitement or people interaction, Gil captures the decisive moments in-camera that become forever etched in visual memory.
Ben Kuhl — Photojournalist, Track & Special Projects: Ben is a decade-plus writer/photographer/racecar builder/racer and both IMSA and vintage racing team member. Racing runs in his veins and vintage racing is his life-blood. Ben’s unique writing and photographic documentations of the subject reflect his matchless comprehension of the subject.
Adam Hosey — Project and Action Photographer: Adam is an established and widely published photographer of cars, concours events, shows and competitions, covering multiple categories of automobiles in our time, for www.racingvintagecars.com, many clients, books and publications.
Jon Wright — Photographer/Videographer: equally proficient in the photography and videography tools of yesteryear, today and tomorrow, Jon is a practiced automotive photography/videography professional who at all times seeks the view that others often miss. He is also an accomplished racecar builder and driver.
Guy Motil – Senior Editor: perpetual automobile racing enthusiast and photo-documenter of the sport. His magazine publishing expertise, which spans over three decades, includes four magazines in three core subjects, two books and several videos. His award winning photography includes twelve years as a designated camera ace for the Long Beach Grand Prix in addition to his works for www.racingvintagecars.com.
