The 1956 Monaco Grand Prix winning Maserati 250F driven by Stirling Moss. At the start of the race, Moss was on the front row, sandwiched between the Ferraris of Juan Manuel Fangio (who had the fastest time during qualifying) and Eugenio Castellotti. Moss soon pulled into the lead while the cars behind were jostling and banging into each other. Fangio had spun on the first lap and was fighting his way back towards the front. By the 10th lap, Moss had pulled away and was cruising. After 30 laps, Fangio was up to 2nd place and running a couple seconds a lap faster than Moss. On lap 87 Moss rammed into the rear of the Maserati of Cesare Perdisa who had braked when he saw Moss was about to lap him. This slowed Moss down slightly, and caused a small amount of damage to the front of the car, narrowing the gap to Fangio to just 32 seconds. Fangio continued to gain on Moss but ran out of time. Moss crossed the finish line just 6 seconds ahead of Fangio.
