EAGLE-WESLAKE Mk1

$35.00

Dan Gurney, driving the Eagle-Weslake Mk1 at the 1967 British Grand Prix. Gurney unfortunately failed to finish the race due to mechanical issues, owing to unproven aspects of his powerful new (but not yet fully reliable) Westlake twelve-cylinder engine. But earlier that season, in an extraordinary feat at Belgium’s daunting SPA racetrack, Dan Gurney won the Belgian Grand Prix, becoming the sole American driver to be the victor in a Formula 1 championship race driving a car of his own making, before or since. History for all time.
